Recipe: Fresh Sausage Patties

FRESH SAUSAGE PATTIES
Makes 8 small patties
Sausage is such a treat for breakfast, on pizza, or in casserole dishes. You can use any combination of meat, herbs, and spices to make a tasty AND healthy sausage.
Place in large bowl

·  1 Lb Fresh Ground Meat such as turkey, chicken, and/or pork·  1 Tbsp Dried Herb

·  1 Teas Sea Salt

·  Up to 1 tsp of three other Herbs or spices such as: Pepper, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Ground Thyme, Ground Mace

Form 8 thin patties in your hands. Fry in a little oil about 5 minutes. Flip and fry about 5 more minutes or until done. Drain on paper towels.

You can also break sausage into small pieces and brown in a little oil for pizza crumbles or to make chili.

Helpful Tips:
Ground meat can cost more than a breast or roast. If you have a meat grinder or grinding attachment for your stand mixer, consider grinding your own. That way you can control the fat and you know exactly what cut is in it.
